Have you ever genuinely worked on the long-lasting solutions to the whole world's most unnecessarily dangerous problems? They seem to appear harmless. However, that is not the true picture. They are anomalies. Nigeria as a member of the global community is also affected by them. The first one is religion. The second one is poverty. The third one is ignorance.
Nigeria is a country which is trying to become one very great nation. She will get there eventually. Her ethnic groups are so many that the issue of disunity erroneously comes up every now and then, instead of focusing on what leads to what.
Religion tends to be a menace when you impose it directly or indirectly on people. Religion is not the same thing as the truly pure spirituality which is healthy for humanity. Crimes against humanity have been committed in the name of every religion across the globe. Nigeria is not exempted. How long will someone have to remind us that we are the secular country {led by the constitution with no state-owned religion} whose official languages are English and pidgin English? 95% of the population understands both of them though we have other ethnic languages. Arabic is neither Nigeria's official nor ethnic language. Why was it ever written on the Naira, Army's logo and some other government-owned properties? It must be removed completely. Are the Arab countries doing the same thing with Nigeria's ethnic languages? Furthermore, it's time to close down every shrine, mosque, temple and church within all government-owned premises {Federal, State and Local}. Religious activities and dress codes should no longer be allowed for the politicians, workers and students of government-owned organisations, offices and schools. Even government-owned print media and multimedia will only accept inspirational and purely spiritual contents if they are sponsored by private citizens, as long as there are no conflicts with our constitution. You are free to practise your religious beliefs with your private life, property and organisation but respect yourself along with other citizens.
Poverty is a despicable mentality which reduces its victims' self-worth because they feel powerless and hindered. The fear of poverty leads to indebtedness, theft, greed and embezzlement. The more empathy and innovation we all keep having will be helpful in rescuing the populace from the menace of poverty. Prosperity is everyone's right in the best of ways.
Ignorance keeps people in darkness and prevents them from seeing the light. When you know better, you will do better. Be open-minded in the best of ways. Do not be narrow-minded. In every walk of life, narrow-minded people can be manipulative and destructive. Always know that there's more to life than your current location and position at the moment. Knowledge is power.
Those problems cause every other calamity which occurs. All across the globe, we must make things right. Start afresh with clearly stated laws which uphold the constitution above them.
