There’s a thin line between winning and losing

When it’s favourable, it’s also very pleasing

There’s a thin line between patriotism and terrorism

With the insight, one can see this beyond a mere criticism

There’s a thin line between love and hatred

It’s like having beautiful clothes, that were hung, fall off the clothes line like a mere thread

There’s a thin line between either going to hell or heaven

Even self-righteous people can still learn that in a hard way apart from knowing the spiritual meanings of numbers six and seven

There’s a thin line between friendship and a true love filled romantic relationship

Other things being equal, with a lovely transition from the former to the latter, it’s far more amazing than being in a smooth sailing ship

There’s a thin line between what’s nonsense and the one that makes sense

That’s why they say there’s sense in every nonsense

Knowing and accepting that there’s a thin line between the rewards and consequences of your decisions and actions will help you for good

Why will a married couple be citing an irreconcilable difference and filing for a divorce when it’s far better to always renew their marital bliss as the worthwhile thing to endorse?

The Friend Zone

Christie and Calvin have been rolling for years

The connection is so good that they were seen as a couple by their peers

However, everything changed the day Calvin introduced his girlfriend to her with a joyful shout-out

At that juncture, Christie realised Calvin, though is her buddy, never at any point asked her out

In another scenario, Stacie and Stanley seemed like a couple that’s always there for each other

How and when they met didn’t really matter

Stacie is a very pretty lady that any gentleman will desire

Stanley, on the other hand, can be any lady’s go-to guy who’s always on fire

However, one day, while trying to have a romantic conversation with her

She burst his bubble by announcing her engagement to another man and it felt like being hit by a car

To add insult to injury, she said this to him as a consolation to a loser

“Since we’ve known each other like forever, I’ll be honoured if you attend my wedding ceremony because I love you as a friend and brother”

From the two scenarios, Christie and Stanley ended in the friend zone which is the state where you’re only good enough to be just a friend and not a date

In conclusion, if you perceive that you’re going toward the friend zone or already there, recover and get out because you deserve the best romantic relationship before it’s too late

Shakespeare did state, through the melancholy Jacques’ monologue in Act II Scene VII of ‘As You Like It’, that the world’s a stage and each person plays a part

If that’s valid, then be the standout without being torn apart

In your bid to be fulfilled, you don’t have to use trickery, treachery and stoop as low as the fictional DC Comics’ villain called Joker

The title you’ll get in such a route is the perennial criminal and evil troublemaker

You can choose to be the true hero

As you’re doing so, don’t let any flaw make you fall down to ground zero

If that’s allowed to happen, what you’ll have is a tragedy

The last thing you want anyone to dedicate to you is an elegy

In another scenario, one has to be very strategic about the idea of being the dramatic jester

Although they seem to be called fools because of their pranks, somehow laughter and the truth are inspired by them as a regular gesture

Whichever way your character alleviates sorrow

To you will be dedicated the song of the jolly good fellow

Blinded By Yourself

The worst form of blindness is when you’re blinded by yourself. This is a matter of certainty.

Tolerating stupidity, mediocrity and dishonesty over brilliance and integrity because it appeals to your ego, ignorance and insecurity is preposterous and disastrous both in the short and long run. 

Furthermore, when you’re so full of yourself that you keep allowing anomalies to happen over and over again and it seems you’re getting away with them, be very careful. That’s what I call being blinded by yourself. If it goes on, then one day, you’ll discover that your luck has run out. And when you do, the rest is left to the imagination of those who have the ability to always ponder and do what’s right. If this makes you feel something, then it’s to be truly reflected on.

The Irony of Money Growing on Trees

They say money doesn’t grow on trees but here’s a view that will differ

From time immemorial, humanity had been having something to do with the paper

This paper is from papyrus of the trees

Figuratively, from the timeless wisdom of creation, our actions and their consequences are rightly compared to trees being known by their fruits

No wonder, humanity aims to often have the best of results from daily efforts like bearing ripe fruits

Beyond coins, other means of transaction like Bitcoin, e-payment, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Platinum still have humanity as their maker

Since they also say ideas rule the world

That means some people always take time to conceive the ideas that lead to the creation of everything in and beyond our world

Although, ‘money not growing on trees’ is often used in comparison to ‘wishful thinking’

In truth, the right and legal strategy and investment from the right people will bring any ‘wishful thinking’ to life and give it health

This, without any doubt, eventually leads to the creation of employment opportunities and wealth

The Insight At A Birthday Party

Just the other day, I was invited to a not too elaborate birthday party

There, I witnessed a remarkable number of physically challenged kids and those from orphanages displaying their creativity

The celebrant decided to dedicate his birthday ceremony to them

In other words, they were invited, along with all other guests, as the celebrant’s special gem

The deaf and dumb performed a well coordinated choreography, with the guidance of their talented teacher, far better than kids who can speak and hear

When it came to the turn of the blind ones, with the help of a wonderful live band, they performed some notable hit songs so well that I said “there’re indeed talents here”

In truth, each performance from these kids got a well deserved standing ovation

They really rose up to the occasion

As we were being served refreshments, I noticed the live band performing, among many other ones, ‘Stand By Me’ credited to Ben E. King

With what I’ve seen, the lyrics made more sense to me than just a song to sing

An occasion of this magnitude is yet another reminder that there’s indeed ability in disability

I’ve shared my experience in order for all of us to always help and celebrate humanity as inspired by our empathy and not just sympathy
