A boy stabbed a girl to death in Connecticut because he couldn’t take her to junior prom

Instead of causing that mess, couldn’t he just ask another girl to junior prom?

A 23 year old mother, from California, who stabbed her 7 months old baby to death like it’s an aside

Apparently, became so eager to meet him again that she attempted a suicide

A 42 year old teacher performed a ‘full contact’ lap dance on a middle school student in front of his Texas classmates

Isn’t she supposed to go home and perform that with her own man who may be older or at least one of her age mates?

Among several others that are too numerous to mention is the case of a 19 year old girl who claims she’s a thrill and serial killer who lures men to their death

God help this generation to stop seeing vices as being fashionable, especially the ones leading to people’s death

Sing Your Own Song

I’ll say if you want to make it on earth, be your true self and nobody else. Instead, some will do something else ‘till they get to a dead end. Again, if you bend when you ought to tend the things you were sent to achieve on earth, you’ll descend and be depressed in the end as you are led to a dead end. However, the good news is that you can make the difference by being true to your essence. In the end, you will see that it does make sense, as you “sing your own song”.

Basically, the truth should be told. You are not an accident. In fact, you have never been and you will never be. You are very special. In other words, there is a remarkable reason for your birth. You have goals to achieve for the benefit of humanity and yourself.

In view of this, “sing your own song” means “create your own beautiful and glorious destiny”. And for the love of God, please do not become a copycat of celebrities in the process. Do not misunderstand me. There is nothing wrong in appreciating celebrities. However, learning from their success and flaws is much more important.

How do I go about my life? If you are asking yourself this question, then know that everything along with everyone is always within your reach. That is why i’m pleading with you to always believe in yourself and relate with the right people at all times. I call these right people ‘TRUE DESTINY HELPERS’ because they are the ones who believe in you against all odds. You will keep meeting them at different points in life. They can be your family and friends. At other times, believe it or not, they come to you as strangers. Besides that, don’t ever ignore the ‘GOD FACTOR’ which inspires the ‘EXTRAORDINARY FACTOR’ in you!

Pride In Types

You’ve heard that pride goes before a fall

It’s for real and not a cliche when times and seasons call

Over the years I’ve come to a conclusion

In this context, it relates to every situation

Pride comes in types

Knowing this helps you to plan how it dies or ripes

There’s something called positive pride

This can be seen as being principled since it helps you not to stoop low to do what’s contrary to morality and the recognition of right and wrong

Another type is negative pride

This is when you’re so conceited or self-important that it becomes, before a fall, your swan-song

It’s true that everyone is not perfect except the most high God

It’s the truth either you’re an atheist or a believer in the most high God

Sometimes, complemented with knowledge, wisdom and understanding, it’s okay to have a good measure of positive pride

On the other hand, it’s never okay to have negative pride

Being full of negative pride does bring about stumbling blocks that come strong and loud

All of creation is against it for crying out loud

No wonder, even the good book says the most high God resists the people who are, in the negative sense,  proud

This is because each time you’re being filled with negative pride, you remind the most high God of Lucifer

Divorce: A Curse or A Course

There is a plague that seems to gradually affect the whole essence of human existence. No one can really tell when it was born. A silent but deadly threat it has become. Divorce is its name. The destruction of marriages is its primary aim.

 All over the world, courts of law, elders’ councils and family gatherings are never tired of entertaining divorce cases. Ironically, these same institutions, among others, also endorse the union of couples in every holy matrimony.

Why do we move from saying “I do” to “we are through”? To an extent, everyone is meant to be social. As we go about our daily endeavours, we meet and relate with people. At that juncture, we can choose some for dating until one makes it with us to the altar. Unfortunately, over a period of time, some couples may feel disappointed in their own choices.

Is that enough reason to quit? Of course, it is not! Although insincerity, infidelity, insecurity and incompatibility are mostly the reasons for divorce cases, one major feature can never be left out. Everyone needs to always improve his or her own personality.

In the final analysis, some of us believe that divorce is a taboo while others see it as a tool. Here is the ‘marital truth’. If you cannot be truthful and follow it through, do not say “I do”. Come to think of it, this cuts across all walks of life, too!

The Helping Hand

All around us is always, at least, someone in need. Some are courageous to ask for help, others may not. Why the need? The truth must be told. Everyone needs a thing or two at certain points in life. This is different from a mere craving or want. At the times when such needs are met, one’s life definitely moves forward in the appropriate directions. On the other hand, stagnation, frustration and retrogression become the case for needs that are not met.

Having that in mind, one cannot but wonder why people, sometimes, fail to help. We hear a lot of excuses like these. “I don’t have the money to help”. “I have a limited or no time”. “l lack the resources to help”. Those are just to mention few ones. However, by now, we all know that anyone can be helped by us. We can do it just like all the other good things that our minds are set to.

So, the next time you see someone in need, even if you may not have ‘anything’, put in good words, on their behalf, to as many persons as possible. This makes us the true humanitarians!

Innocent Eyes

They give the hope to move on like the rising sun that brightens our day. At night, their constant requests for bedtime stories are our ever present delight.

Nothing compares to this lovely sight. They are the innocent eyes of every child. However, as beautiful as being with them may sound, danger moves all around.

Before now, children were used to being told about the defeats of monsters by heroes in fictions. Nowadays, things have changed. Monsters have come alive, while heroes are scarce. Who or what are these monsters? The ones that readily come to mind are domestic violence, parental or guardian irresponsibility and child abuse.

Domestic violence comes in at points when parents and guardians begin to lose it. Whenever we experience rough days and heartbreaks, as parents and guardians, courtesy demands that we deal with them on our own and not bring such things home via transferred aggression.

Another side to domestic violence is parental conflicts. Rising from the background of financial and marital issues, sometimes, parents unleash wrath on one another without minding their children’s presence.

Parental or guardian irresponsibility brings up a different chapter. Each time you take alcoholic drinks, hard drugs or watch porn and have sex with a minor, so grows the list of irresponsible adults, parents, and guardians. Adults, beware and watch yourselves.

Taking things to the extreme is child abuse. Its official language is money. Its five deadly weapons are child trafficking, child prostitution, child labour, child soldiers and the deprivation of the quality way of life for children.

Child trafficking is a part of the modern day slavery. Its special skills are kidnappings and sales of our lovely children to any Tom, Dick, or Harry.

Child prostitution forces our dear children to work, against their will, as professional prostitutes, while child labour also makes them a forbidden work force.

In ancient times, adults who fought for their loved ones and possessions were laudable. Shamefully, 20th and 21st century wars unbelievably allowed the hiring of child soldiers as a norm. Regardless of the situation, watching kids carrying guns like the members of a battalion is unacceptable.

The fifth deadly weapon of child abuse takes us back to the basis. The deprivation of the quality way of life for our children is clear. It is simply our refusal to be responsible for providing their decent and affordable meals, clothing, homes, transportation and education. This is so important that the moment we solve it, every other thing will start flowing in the right places.

Let us all be the modern day heroes who will annihilate the monsters that threaten our future. The vision of all children are their innocent eyes. These innocent eyes are worth protecting!

Halt The Tide of Suicide

It was a cold Saturday morning. Everything is about to even become colder as four persons, from different parts of the world, will pass through another phase.

Vivian jumps off the top of a twelve storey building because she can’t bear the thought of losing her husband and kids to a fatal plane crash some months back.

Trisha, a world class publicist, stands in front of a high speed moving train, upon being dumped at the eleventh hour by her fiance. 

Makuena picks up a loaded gun and pulls the trigger on himself. The picture of his loved ones being casualties of their country’s civil war was too much to accept.

Lee simply gives up the ghost after drinking a poisonous substance because he lost everything to a global economic meltdown.

These characters have one thing in common. Each of them is a victim of suicide.

What is suicide? To simply define this, taking one’s life or putting it in danger is suicidal. People do it in different ways. They can jump off tall storey buildings and in front of moving trains or vehicles. Others can shoot themselves, hang with ropes and consume any deadly substance.

Those are some ways, among others, in which suicide can be committed. Why suicide? A deep sense of loss, sorrow and loneliness often make people to consider suicide.

Is suicide worth it? The answer is NO! It is never worth being considered.

You’re more important to humanity than you’ll ever know!

Imagine witnessing a silly car accident with something to say

An absent-minded driver just had an accident in the presence of passersby

The situation appeared so ridiculous that each witness wondered why

When he alighted, one of the passersby asked, “are you all right?”

Jesus and His Twelve Homies

This is about the greatest hero to ever walk across the face of the earth. 

Recently, I heard about some people insinuating that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was gay because His twelve homies were all males! What the hell was that? 

Allow me to look at it from a different perspective for good. Check out some of His homies before they were eventually redeemed by Jesus Christ. Peter {the rock} was ridiculous. John {the beloved} was an overgrown baby. Thomas was as skeptical as hell. Matthew was a shrewd tax collector. Judas Iscariot, on his own part, was the greatest snitch that ever lived. Come on, if he can betray Jesus Christ, then the entire world stands no chance.

With all the issues these guys had to deal with, on their own, besides lots of miracle seekers always stalking them, there is no way they could have been humping one another.

Again, although Jesus Christ never got married, is that enough reason to assume He was gay? Such a thought is sick and uncalled for.
